Kid Model Headshots | Denver Model & Actor Photographer

In the model industry, having some great photos is an important part of making an impession. Kid models will need some headshots for their portfolio page and comp card once they’ve been accepted to be represented by an agency. Becoming a model takes more work than a lot of people realize. It’s not just being a pretty face. In my opinion, every child is beautiful, yes, your child is the cutest kid on earth, but child modeling in front of a camera requires some natural or learned talent, skill, an outgoing, flexible personality and can take awhile to practice auditioning, landing gigs and performing. Agencies are looking for a variety of different looks.
Is your child photogenic, charismatic, uniquely talented, comfortable taking direction from adult strangers, able to patiently hang out on potentially long jobs, confident and ready to handle rejection?
Are you thinking about having your child try their hand at modeling? I suggest you take just a few good snapshots of your child in a cute, neutral color outfit, no makeup, and take one close-up and a full body shot to submit to agencies. Do your research and locate a few of the most reputable talent agencies in your area. Some agencies have open call auditions to locate new talent and others will allow you to just simply email/send your photos to them for review. A few reputable and legit modeling/acting/talent agencies that I know of in the Denver, Colorado area include Donna Baldwin Agency, Wilhelmina, Big Fish Talent and Maximum Talent Agency. Check these companies out to see if they are accepting new kid talent and find out the details of their requirements to submit your child. Once your child has been asked to do a contract with a good agency, then I encourage you to find a photographer that can snap some professional photos of your child that will be used on the agency’s website and for sharing with their potential clients. Getting 2-3 different looks/outfits is suggested for headshots.
This doll here, Emmie, just landed her first modeling contract, so her mom wanted to get some natural, bright headshots of her to showcase that cutie face! Good luck Emmie! I hope you have a lot of fun on your modeling auditions!

Lisa | Creative Portraits | Non-Traditional Headshots

Beauty. Grace. Wisdom. Laughter. Captured.
A lot of fun for this Downtown Denver creative portraits shoot with an old friend. She’s a strong yogi, a gentle soul, wise and witty, total #womangoals with this one here! I just love these free spirited, slightly outside the box and non-traditional headshot type shoots where my client patiently allows me the freedom to let my artistic style come through and rolls with it. I adored her willingness to be flexible and playful, without constraint. Such great, authentic energy photographing Lisa and the camera felt that!
I’d love to work with you too! We can capture some lifestyle, more traditional or something beyond basic style headshots and portraits to document you at any stage of your life!

Spread KINDNESS around like CONFETTI | Urban Creative Portrait Shoot | Denver RiNo District Photographer

Confetti & hot pink 💕👠 heels?! Um, yes, please! (I get giddy when clients bring a splash of color or a prop that helps highlight their style).
Thrilled to have photographed this lovely, inspirational and gorgeously photogenic gal. Simply a smashingly fun and colorful session. Many of you have already been following her (she has a huge social media following @lindsayteague ), but if you’re like me, you’re just getting a glimpse into this fantastic influencer and I’m sure you’ll be diving in to learn more. Meet Lindsay Teague Moreno, entrepreneur, speaker, podcaster, boss mama, mentor, author and more! She has this new book “Boss Up!: This Ain’t Your Mama’s Business Book” available for pre-order NOW, and I am super excited to snag it soon to read up on tips to stir more success with my own small woman owned business journey. What a joy to meet this energetic woman who has a passion for helping others grow.

I love and adore the ever exciting art culture, vibrant textures and evolving backdrop of Downtown Denver’s RiNo Art District, which made for the perfect, playful partner to Lindsay’s creativity and style during our shoot. I’ve shot a handful of clients in and around the murals and neighborhood of RiNo and Five Points Denver, and being a Denver native helps with knowing the area, but finding new spots to shoot around and locating them can be a bit of a mystery & game, so I was grateful for this detailed resource, Colbert, Carrie (2018, November 26) Your Guide to Denver’s Most Colorful Walls Retrieved from https://carriecolbert.com/ 17 April 2019, which made my hunt for finding specific photo backdrops in the area a breeze. Her post, that I found via Google surfing the web, will treat you with shining example images + street addresses to map out some fabulous murals in this artsy area.

It was an honor to meet and photograph you Lindsay. Thanks for a most jubliant photo session that will have me smiling and inspired for a long time!

Head Shots M | Actors, Comedians, Business Professionals, Models

These shots are from one of my first sessions back in 2016, when I was just getting going with my new professional photography small business.  I adore this lady and her vibrant energy and face!  She was a joy to photograph as a practiced actor and vocal coach, her natural photogenic talent shined through for sure.  I wanted to showcase some of the photos from her session to illustrate one of my favorite aspects of photography, which is head shots!  While head shots are often needed for models and actors more regularly, because they have to update their resumes or comp cards every so often, head shots are also great for business professionals, including realtors and company owners, used to update a dating profile or even just for fun!  Head shots can highlight your employees and framed in an office, used for small business purposes, show off a new hairstyle or fashionable expression, a weight loss or fitness makeover, and they help to create a dynamic social media presence for your blog or platforms.  I would love to work with you and photograph you or your children for a head shots session.
