I got some wedding photo session practice in this weekend when I had the opportunity to shadow a lovely and much more experienced photographer while on location for a beautiful Denver wedding.  My sister-in-law Jenny is also a photographer in training and she's been interning this summer with photographer, Jay of yatesphoto.net, and she invited me along to shadow them for the day.  I picked up some great photography tips, learned some new things about how difficult shooting weddings can be, but also how fun and enjoyable a wedding shoot can be as well.  I snapped some shots during the day that I was convinced would be amazing, only to get home and be disappointed with the quality of a lot of them.  You live and learn.  Practice makes progress!
I commend Jay on his patience and ability to stay focused, be efficient, friendly and really great at helping his clients pose in lots of different ways for some fantastic results!  Here are a few of my favorite captures from my first wedding shoot shadow day with Jay.
